The generally recommended trekking direction is southbound even if most sections can be hiked in either direction. Some sections require a entrance permit if you would hike northbound. This limitation applies to section 1, 2-3, 12. Also for section 11 the southbound limitation applies. Only in this direction you can float down the river Caucuá with your packraft.
