The ascent and descent of the plateau are awesome, full of araucaria trees and beautiful landscapes of the montains around. Sad that I've to hurry because of bad weather comming.
Fords : easy
Snow : big snow fields from about 1700m alt but easy to cross.
Water : still full on the plateau at this period.
Navigation : often many paths but easy to find the good one with the GPS. A bit more difficult to follow on the ascent after puesto at 14.5. And also around the pass cause the path often goes under the snow fields so needed more gps to stay in the good direction.
Var C : the lake is really nice. Made it with not so much bushbashing by staying closest as possible to the tracks, gps in hand at least at the begining.
Camp : around 8km (water) and camping at laguna el barco was open (5000 CLP/pers/night)
Arrive in Guallali before the rain :
Eat and sleep at the point mini-market with Romina and her family.
30kCLP for bed + lunch + dinner + breakfast.
Mini market : pasta, soups.
