At two larger lakes you can alternatively take a daily ferry (Lago Pirihueco) or a private boat transfer (Lago Todos Los Santos). For all other lakes and rivers alternative trails, which circumvent the water are included in the [[#Trail Files for GPS and Google Earth |Trail Files for GPS and Google Earth]] above. So you can bypass on foot all water sections if you do not have a packraft or if wind and weather does not permit the crossing of a lake with a rather tiny boat.
