I didn’t have problems getting a campsite at la junta on the spot luckily. AMAZING area that I’ll be returning to again to do all the day hikes in the area. Aside from that, pretty much all the trail was terribly muddy and unmaintained. It sucked. Next time I’d just do the hikes in the valley like everyone else and go back down the same way. However when I got down to Lago Vidal Gomez the scenery improves. The trail slightly does too. I got some bread from a settler at the start of the lake and more food at the mini shop towards the end of the section. The last ferry across Tagua Tagua leaves at 7 pm. I didn’t make it, so I slept underneath the office/bathrooms and took the ferry at 8:00 the next morning.
