MIND THE WATER LEVEL!
The river (I paddled in mid-high water level) is slow (3-5 k/hr) and almost tree-free. Wind picked up at 10:30, it got too strong after a short while, so I had to abandon the river around 4k before the bridge and hiked to the restborder, then hitchhiked to Futaleufu.
In case of emergency or too strong winds you can abandon the river at any time on the southern bank and hike back to the road through private property, there's fishing lodges everywhere.
