Cambios

The Huella Andina is a long distance trail on the Argentine side of the Patagonian Andes with a combined total length of 564 km. May but not all of the 42 day stages are connect with each other forming continuous sections of up to 166 km length. There remain 3 larger and several smaller gaps making this an uncontentious long distance trail. The project was initiated by Estefania Chereguini and Walter Oszust in 2008. During their leadership of the project most stages were selected and marked. The Huella Andina and the Greater Patagonian Trail join each other at the shore of the Lago Puelo at the end of section 16 of the GPT. The Hiking-Only-Options of the Greater Patagonian Trail follow on Sections sections 17 and 18 to large degree the Huella Andina. Most of these Hiking-Only-Options are not recorded yet by GPS but since the Huella Andina is marked trail route-finding should be rather easy.
