I combined GPT 08 from Termas Chillan (4 days) with GPT 09 (1.5 days), plus 2 rest days due to bad weather (hosted in a Puesto at 08-04A, turned to be the highlight of this section)
Bus from Chillan at 2pm (final stop, same place as Emily quoted previously), Camp after ford 08-2A (1.6/2097). Hot river with nice 'pools'.
Los Peucos. Rangers were there (if sprinklers are open, they are around). Recommended.
Section 08-04 ends at section 09 (RR km 29) that I followed.
Fords were straightforward, trails easy to follow. No horseflies (and almost no cows).
