If traveling NOBO and interested in a resupply drop at Casa Piedra, you can contact Jorge Garrido (+56 933 765 989), he prefers contact through WhatsApp. Jorge runs the concession that operates the four campgrounds in the southern part of PN Patagonia (Tamango, West Wind, Casa Piedra, and Alto Valle) as well as the bus that does a daily round from Cochrane to Alto Valle and back, stopping at West Wind, the museum, and Casa Piedra along the way. We got his number from the tourist information center in the plaza in Cochrane. He was very friendly and agreed to take an "encomienda" for us for 5.000 CLP. We got an empty box from the grocery store and made sure it was securely taped shut with our names, the date for the delivery, and the location clearly written on multiple sides. We gave the package and the money to the bus driver, meeting him in the plaza near the tourist info center on a pre-arranged, just before 09:00 when he leaves to start the round. When we arrived in Casa Piedra a week later, the package was already there. Jorge happened to be there that day and said he had it left a day early just in case we arrived earlier than we expected, which was very thoughtful. Just be aware if using this option that Casa Piedra DOES NOT allow you to leave trash, so you have to pack out everything. They will let you leave the cardboard box without the tape since they make fires regularly.
