Criteria
Our selection criterion is: The best trek is that which is most listed in books covering the greatest treks in the world.
Development
We have selected the best 9 books (in our opinion) that gather the greatest treks in the world. We assigned a score to every trek in each publication basing ourselves on a series of variables, one of the most important being the amount of treks the book covers (a trek that is in a book covering 10 treks is awarded a higher score than another in a book covering 50).
