In vehicle

Exit Coyhaique by the Austral road (route 7) to the south. After an hour and a half of trip and after crossing the Ibañez port you reach the town of Villa Cerro Castillo, populated with accommodation, food and grocery stores. At the entrance to the village, just in front of the monument to the sheepherder a vehicular road of gravel in disrepair goes into the west. Follow it for 6.3 kilometers until you see about 200 meters ahead an estuary that crosses the road (Estero Parada). There is space to park the vehicle on the side of the road.

In public transport and hitchhiking

Take one of the bus lines from Coyhaique to Cerro Castillo or one of those passing through this town continue south. Plantilla:Buses of coyhaique to the south From the village you will have to walk for 6.3 kilometers the vehicular road to the west, which requires a little less than 2 hours of walking.
