I’m conflicted on this section. Not very difficult, but quite boring and sometimes painful.
Ferry is nice, and first 25km are quite chill. Actually a nice uphill.
However the trail becomes quite overgrown, not from the sides but really the grass. It is not hard to follow, but the grass is thick and grabs to your skin. It’s almost like getting a micro-wax to your leg hair every step. There are also lots of thorns sprinkled in there to keep you engaged.
No cows 😎😮🔥, until very end. I built these cow gates around my camp cause I was bored 🧎Super effective clearly.
The “zig-zag” on RR before Variant C is located about 100m above its placement on GPS files. Had to cross three gates. The “caretaker” was home, but didn’t notice me. Final gate is quite tall, but you can climb on side to swing over it.
Hitched a ride to Maihue, camping with hot showers and charging ports 7000clp.
