To avoid returning on the same route and to minimize road walking, the track files suggest a descent from the summit on the eastern slope of the vulcano. This route has been recorded several times but is somewhat more demanding then the northern ascent.
Natalie, Tomas and Celio have investigated a much more demanding route along the eastern rim of Volcano Sollipulli that connects to the southern descent. This route includes some scrambling and should only be attempted in good stable weatherby experienced hikers that feel comfortable in steep exposed terrain with small bits of climbing.
