Descripción General

A lovely hike through the middle of Lago Uru Uru allowing views of the many birds and life which occupies the lake.

We walked out from the city, witnessing the amount of trash produced which lines the shallow edge of the lakes. Passing a few homesteads and then the reeds, we walked out through the middle of the lake where birdlife was abundant.

We saw no trains the day we walked through and largely they seem to pass at night, though it is important to always be attentive.

We walked out from Oruro and to the town of Machacamarca where it cost less than 4 Bolivianos on one of many minis to take us back to Oruro.
