I already walked some sections of Tamango before, so I started the Parque Patagonia traverse via Sendero Rio Chacabuco, then connected to RR at Casa Piedra.
Mediterranean feel to the hike to Cochrane, rangers at the station had a lunch break and we signed out without issues.

Summary: We took 9 days of food leaving Chile Chico. The first 3 days were on the plateau. We decided to go to the Cherry Festival in Los Antiguos (just cross the border in Argentina). We hitched a lift to Chile Chico when we got to the road on day 3 afternoon, then went across the border the following day. Two days later, we got a lift back to the park entrance and continued our hike through Parque Patagonia. Finished with a hitch to Valle Chacabuco. We saw a lot of wildlife on this section.
