GPT 8 last week of March at Thermas de Chillán area Ben and Stephanie
We weren’t able to do GPT 8 due to a health challenge. However, we waited in Las Trancas for a week hoping it would clear up. There is reasonably priced accommodation at Hostal/Hotel Chill’in, 20 mil per person in a dorm with breakfast or 60 mil for a private room and breakfast. Great restaurant. Super helpful place. You can fully resupply at the selection of mini-mercados in Las Trancas. There is a bus from Chillán rural bus station to Las Trancas at 8 am and at 2 pm. You can also grab it in Las Trancas about 9:20 am-ish.
For a Las Trancas vehicle contact, WhatsApp +56 9 5128 2641. 15 mil to get a ride up to the Termas (and the trailhead to Aguas Calientes) and 60 mil to Chillán if you have to go to the hospital suddenly haha. In which case, go to Clinica Andes Salud in Chillán. They have everything you can need.
