Wow a mouthful.
Started from Las Trancas after waiting out bad weather. Met some dudes at Camping Los Peucos, gifted me a fishing rod (does anyone have info on permit situations?)
Explored Option 7 along Rio Polcura, definitely some bushwhacking along the trail, but there is a trail, just really overgrown. Beautiful river.
7B is just minor road.
Christmas in Abanico. Stayed at camping 1km out of town. 10k CLP for night, can have fire, bathrooms. Shop was open, ate 5 hotdogs.
Call (+56971304096) for a ride out of Abanico, or wherever. Very nice guy, charges 1k CLP per Kilometer. Was 9k to start of trailhead, even waited while I paid CONAF.
Climb up Sendero Sería Velluda was calm, but CC was kinda tough. Bad winds at pass, and rest of day. Opted to follow Valley Route to avoid bad winds, very beautiful.
Rejoined RR for final descent, though was kinda sketchy at points. Nothing too bad.
Here in Trapa Trapa, nothing is open unfortunately.
