* We forded Rio Avellano 100m downstream of 81.2/490, at 46.45791, -72.31714. Very strong current, upper-thigh height, had to cross slowly, but manageable with careful footing.
* Slept on the floor of the refugio in Puerto Avellano. A table, some chairs, and wood burning stove inside. Didn’t notice any pests. There are a few spots for tents behind in the trees, but very wind exposed. Met the settler that lives nearby the following day.
* From the junction with the road [130.4/311] we took Option 11 into Levican and camped behind some bushes with good wind protection. We didn’t find any good spots on 11G, with the north shore being very windy. Started the road walk to Puerto Ibanez on the final day, but luckily got a hitch 3km out of townLevican (around 8am), we rode with them all the way to Coyhaique (he turned out to be Julio’s brother).
