Good to take more water (we took 5,5l). There is water at the end of the option 3 (Filo Purgatorio). We slept -33.62636, -70.44757 here, beautiful spot on the ridge. Recommendations: Taking around 6 liters of water from town. A bug net would be nice to carry. Highly recommend Option 3B- the route to Cerro Purgatorio. I think the route would have been boring without this optionthough it is a more demanding route to ascend.
