If (if you follow a hiking route for part of the way, highlight only "packrafting"., as above):
Include remarks about your route useful for other hikers and packrafters, alerts, suggestions and personal perception of attractiveness and difficulties. Try to be specific. Do not be shy to fix obvious mistakes. = Overview =

==Season 2024/25==
*'''2025-APR-13 to 2025-APR-15 / 2,5 days / Hiking / SOBO / RR / Ivan, Jakub, Daniel'''
Less traveled, more of a connecting section. The first part was basically completely dry during our time there.
The 14 km section, starting at km 27.1, is actually a MR, not a CC. To connect to this section, you'll need to climb over a locked gate.
Challenges:
*Lack of water (see Water section)
*We were struck by the low nighttime temperature on the first night near Seno Otway (in the morning we measured -8°C)
Bivouacking:
*In Villa Ponsomby, we camped in the waiting room for the ferry.
*Near Ruta Y-50, at coordinates -52.7432939, -71.3522154, there's a small hut with a mattress.
*Another emergency shelter is about at km 28.5, at coordinates -52.8082782, -71.1813610.
*Along the CC section by Seno Otway, there was no wind and finding a place for tents wasn’t a problem.
*A good tent spot by a stream is approximately at km 69.1, at coordinates -53.0550766, -71.0375933.
Water:
In Villa Ponsomby, we collected water from the public restrooms (-52.6504745, -71.4640635). In April, there was very little water in nature, and up to Settler Point {48} [62.2/87], we only encountered a few murky puddles. However, the Ruta Y-50 was fairly busy with cars, so it's definitely an option to try to stop a passing vehicle for water. We asked for water from a woman in the Ankel settlement (Settlement {48} [46.8+1.0/43]). In nature, we found drinkable water only at the following points:
-53.0560783, -71.0382283 (stream)
-53.0780834, -71.0032721 (pond)
-53.0830333, -71.0030701 (stream)
-53.1112842, -70.9483653 (stream)
Resupply:
*There is a small but decently stocked store inside Cafetería y emporio Río Verde in Villa Ponsomby. (A bit of an unusual schedule: Monday 10:00–20:00, Tuesday to Friday 9:00–20:00, Saturday 10:30–18:00, Sunday 13:00–18:00.)
*Punta Arenas is a large city, so there are plenty of resupply options.
