Finalmente se desciende para cruzar este arroyo por un improvisado puente de palos. El lugar es muy agradable y puede ser un buen sitio de campamento si se va un poco tarde; incluso se observan un par de refugios rocosos muy apropiados en caso de lluvias. Para épocas de crecientes, unos cien metros aguas arriba, existe también un puente similar al del Estero León, pero su acceso por la orilla no es posible dado el terreno con paredes rocosas. Finalmente se desciende para cruzar este arroyo por un improvisado puente de palos. El lugar es muy agradable y puede ser un buen sitio de campamento si se va un poco tarde; incluso se observan un par de refugios rocosos muy apropiados en caso de lluvias. Para épocas de crecientes, unos cien metros aguas arriba, existe también un puente similar al del Estero León, pero su acceso por la orilla no es posible dado el terreno con paredes rocosas. Terminada esta pequeña subida ya se comienza a observar la Laguna Las Truchas, a cuyas orillas se llega en unos doscientos metros más. En este primer tramo abundan los senderos alternos, que vuelven a confluir más adelante.
