October and November are probably the best months, when it is not too hot and there is still some snow left in the valley, and you can spend all day in the hot springs.

*Randonnée: June to the end of September. During the winter, you shouldn't have to carry your skies.

Vehicle Access and State of the Road
[[Imagen:Mapa_de_acceso_Aguas_Calientes.jpg|thumb|200px|right|Map of access to the Valley of Aguas Calientes.

*Web: Chile Valle Las Trancas
categoría:Randonnée
164.77.255.226 http://wikiexplora.com/index.php?title=Trekking_Chile_English&diff=4972 Trekking Chile English 2009-06-30T19:26:50Z
164.77.255.226:

To find a trek, you can search for it on the map, where each red dot corresponds to a documented trek. The first alternative is described below.

From the ranger booth, walk about 600 m on the vehicle road, upon reaching the camping area, take the Sendero del Andinista (Path of the Mountaineer) for about 5 minutes where you will see Sendero Los Peumos (Path Los Peumos). This is the path you will take. It goes through a leafy and humid native forrest (see photo). The path ascends moderately. After 35 minutes of having taken Path Los Peumos, again cross the vehicle road. Here on the vegetation is not as exuberant.

Follow the route on two curves, where another fork will be reached. The secondary path, after some 500m will take you to abandoned installations of an old mine. Take the main path. To avoid walking on the vehicle road, after the fork, take a path that goes parallel to the route but slightly more to the east (east). After 300 m these separate. The parth begins to gain height following the edge of a hill in direction to the west, after ascending for 45 minutes, in some areas with a significant slope, you reach the pas (see photo). Here you will have a spectacular view of the valley of Ocoa, with plenty of Chilean Palms (Jubaea chilensis), and somewhat arid. The contrast with the valleys Cajón Grande and Granizo to the south is quite strong. These have a very different vegetation and significantly more exuberant.

After enjoying the beautiful panoramic view the descent begins. The path is clear, with almost no possibilities for getting lost. It abruptly descends for 30 minutes until it reaches the valley were the slope decreases considerably making the trek more pleasant and expedite. The descent begins with a path that goes between pams on the west side of the east hills of the valley. When reaching the last hill, the direction switches Northeast, after 10 additional minutes you will find the min road to the Ocea sector. From the pass to the Casino sector it is 1,5 hours of walking (5 km). Take the road in a north direction to go to the ranger booth, the end of this trek. Looking North, May of 2009. Photo: Nicolás Méndez]] The route begins at the Hotel. You should start by walking west on a dirt road for cars. At the base of the lifts begins a path that goes north. The first stretch is a brief ascent that allows you to mount a hill that falls abruptly over the lagoon, to then rapidly descend. It follows a long traverse to a rocky area equipped with climbing bolts. Here, the view at the lagoon is spectacular. Then comes another stretch before facing a second rocky ridge. This is the most exposed pass of the trek (shown as "delicate pass" on the photo and profile), and is the sole reason why this trek has been classified as being medium difficulty rather than easy. thumb|200px|left|Detail of the climbing bolt zone (locked in a white circle of paint) and the wonderful lagoon below. May of 2009. Imagen: Nicolás MéndezAfter a brief descent through the rocky zone, the path gets lots through kind of slope. If there is no ice or snow, this slope allows for walking with no difficulty. After this crossing of some 40 meters, you will get to a small gorge. You have to remount the gorge a few meters to get the path back, which will be visible a little higher. The exit to the small gorge is also somewhat delicate, having to step confidently through the terrain with the heels to avoid sliding down the slope. You will then return to a dirt zone with tiny bushes. Not long after the pass, you will cross a tiny stream. Then, in an open area, the path gets somewhat lost, but it is easy to get it back. You cross a second stream (with more water but also murkier) and then you begin to descend to a sandy area located north of the lagoon, leaving the former behind. Once you are at the plane north of the lagoon, you will again lose the path, but you only need to keep west of the stream (which could be dry, depending on the season). You then ascend a few meters, up to a plane where you will have an excellent view of the mountains Tres Hermanos (Three Brothers; 4751 meters), the king of the valley, that rises with its three peaks to the Northeast.
The path descends lightly until reaching the valley, starting here, the walk is relatively flat with a few occasional ascents and descents. Immediately after passing some fertile lowlands, you will reach a zone of large rocks (Boulders), that can be used as a campsite. Here the road will open in a fork of different paths, you should keep going south until reaching the river Monos de Agua, this river is 7 mts wide and it usually does not exceed knee-height, but during the months when the glaciers thaw (December), it can be the greatest obstacle of the trek. To cross the river, it is recommended to take shoes to get wet, because of the low temperatures, and a rope in case it is carrying too much water. right|thumb|Route to Juncal Glacier. It is also recommended crossing Monos de Agua as early as possible to avoid the a rise in the volume of water. Once having crossed, continue on the valley of the Juncal river (the same valley you have been walking up the path), and not the Monos de Agua Valley, the later would take you to the Glaciar Francisco Moreno described under the trek with the same name.
164.77.255.226 http://wikiexplora.com/index.php?title=MTB&diff=4233 MTB 2009-04-24T14:32:43Z
164.77.255.226: Redirigiendo a Mountain Bike

#REDIRECT Mountain Bike
164.77.255.226 http://wikiexplora.com/index.php?title=Usuario_discusi%C3%B3n:Joaquin.baranao&diff=4232 Usuario discusión:Joaquin.baranao 2009-04-24T14:31:38Z
164.77.255.226: Plantillas y redundancia

No tengo discusión.

Permisos
El fundo es propiedad privada.
